Not Sure If It’s Time?

We’ll Tell You What Actually Needs Attention

If the paint is peeling, chalking, cracking, or pulling away from caulked joints, it is worth checking the surface before the damage gets worse.

Fading or chalking

If the exterior feels powdery or the color has faded unevenly, the existing coating may be wearing down. We can check whether cleaning and repainting are needed.

Peeling or cracking paint

Peeling areas need more than another coat. Loose paint should be removed and the surface underneath checked before primer and finish paint.

Stucco cracks

Some cracks are minor prep items; others need a larger repair. We look at the size and condition before deciding how to treat them.

Failed caulk

Open joints around trim, windows, doors, and transitions should be addressed before repainting so the new finish is not covering a prep problem.

Interior damage or wear

Scuffs, patches, water stains, old touch-ups, and damaged drywall can usually be handled as part of an interior repaint once the source of any moisture is resolved.

Getting the home ready

If you are moving in, remodeling, or preparing the home for sale, we can help you decide what is worth repainting now and what can be left alone.

How It Works

A Clear Process From Estimate to Completion

1Site Visit & Written Estimate

We review the areas to be painted, existing surface conditions, repair needs, and your preferred finish. You receive a written estimate identifying the scope, preparation, and materials.

2Preparation & Painting

We protect the work area, complete the agreed surface repairs, prepare the substrate, and apply the specified coating system. Work is coordinated with your schedule and property access.

3Final Walkthrough

We review the completed work with you, address any items within the agreed scope, and provide the applicable warranty information and care recommendations.

RPS Quality Control

Our 3-Point Quality Check

We check the job before finish painting, while the work is underway, and again before the final walkthrough. The point is simple: catch small issues before they become your punch list.

View Our Work
01

Prep Check

Before finish coats start, we check protection, repairs, sanding, caulking, and primer work so the surfaces are actually ready for paint.

  • Floors and nearby surfaces protected
  • Repairs and prep completed
  • Primer applied where needed
02

Workmanship Check

While the job is moving, we look at coverage, cut lines, sheen, drips, overspray, repairs, and jobsite cleanliness so corrections happen as we go.

  • Coverage and finish checked
  • Lines and details reviewed
  • Work area kept clean
03

Final Check

Before we ask you to approve the job, we do our own walkthrough, complete touch-ups, clean the work area, and then walk the finished scope with you.

  • Touch-ups completed
  • Work area cleaned
  • Final walkthrough with the homeowner
Why we use it: Three checks help us keep the same standard from crew to crew and reduce last-minute surprises at the end of the job.

How much does it cost to paint a house?

It depends on the size of the areas, the condition of the surfaces, the amount of prep and repair work, and the products being used. We look at the project and give you a written estimate so you can see what is included before you decide.

How fast can I get an estimate?

Call, text, or send the form and we’ll arrange the next available appointment based on your location and our schedule. If you send photos, we can usually understand the project faster before the site visit.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Reyes Painting Service is a California C-33 painting contractor, License #1090276. We are bonded and insured, and a certificate of insurance is available when a project requires it.

What kind of paint do you use?

We commonly work with professional coatings from Sherwin-Williams and Dunn-Edwards. The exact product depends on the surface, exposure, existing coating, and finish you want. We can list the proposed products in the estimate.

How long will my project take?

That depends on the size of the job, the amount of prep and repair work, drying time, access, and weather for exteriors. We review the expected schedule with you before the work starts.

Do I need to move furniture or be home while you work?

We’ll tell you what needs to be moved before the start date. We protect the work area and can move or cover normal furniture when it is part of the scope. You do not have to stay home all day as long as access is arranged.

Do you help with colors and HOA approvals?

We can help with color selection and samples, and we can work from an HOA-approved color list when your community requires one. The homeowner or property manager remains responsible for any approval the HOA requires before work begins.

Do you provide a workmanship warranty?

Our written agreement includes the warranty terms that apply to the project. We also complete our own final check and walk the finished scope with you before closeout.
